How to Effectively Market Your Mobile Kid’s Spa Party Business

There are different strategies to effectively market your business.  Creativity and thinking outside the box will differentiate your business from the competition and help you book more parties.  You do not need a huge marketing budget to have a successful business.  Consistency and creativity are key!

Create a website

You can sign up for a free website builder on Wix, Weebly, WordPress, and many more.  Just choose your free website template or get one built for you.  Fiverr.com provides freelance services at very reasonable prices if you need help developing your website or creating a logo.  I highly recommend that you have an intro page with a description of your business, the areas you travel to, contact information (phone number and email) and links to your social media outlets.  You want to make it easy for customers to contact you to book a party.  You also want to add your party packages and services to your website.  Any policies regarding deposits, cancelations, and no shows should be on your website.  Having a photo gallery with pictures of your parties will really help you sell your parties (remember to get parent permission).

Social Media Outlets

Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and TikTok are great outlets to promote your business and they are free!  I highly recommend that you have separate account for your business from your personal account.  You can create a Facebook page and link it to your Instagram account.  When you post on Instagram, you can have the same post appear on your Facebook page.  You can also use the same photo and content for Pinterest.  There is no need to create different posts for the different social media outlets.  Canva.com helps you create free templates and designs for your posts but I find the best posts are the ones that show photos and videos of your parties.  Videos on TikTok, Facebook and Instagram lives are very effective when promoting your business.

Google ads

How well do you know your market? Do you really know what your consumers are looking for? Google can give you all the answers to your marketing problems in a matter of seconds. Marketers can use Google AdWords to run effective campaigns that earn them more revenue. That money can be used to hire employees, buy new equipment and expand to new markets. The power of Google AdWords is that it takes your money and turns it into yours. We have a full template for you if needed.

Vendor events, Expos, School and Church fairs

Participating in these events can get your business a lot of exposure in your community.  There is usually a fee to set up a table or booth but depending on the traffic these events generate there is also a lot of opportunity for networking and leads.  Have a sign up sheet at the table and have the people that visit your table or booth give you their contact info (name, phone number and email).  You can then follow up with them via phone, email or text and offer them a special or discount for booking a party.

Flyers and brochures

Create flyers and brochures with your party packages and services and hand them out at your local schools, ballet and gymnastic academies, summer camps, and cheerleading camps.  When hosting a party, ask the parents if you can hand out your flyers and brochures to their guests.  This is a great way to get more business out of existing parties.

Influencers and bloggers

Collaborations with influencers and bloggers can give your business a lot of exposure.  They usually have their own media rates and charge to post about your business on their blog.  You can reach out to mommy bloggers in your community that have a high number of followers and offer to host a party for their kids in exchange for a post on their blog.

Partnerships with other party venues

Collaborating with other businesses that cater to children can provide great leads for parties.  Princess characters, party rentals, event planners, caterers and bakers can help you give your business great exposure.  You can have them list you as a partner on their website and you can do the same on your website.  Mentioning them on your Facebook page and Instagram and vice-versa can be great cross selling.  You can also work out some type of referral fee for any parties that you book that were a result of their lead.

Word of Mouth

Is the oldest, most reliable form of marketing and is still very effective.  Make sure to tell all your family members and friends about your business.  Post it on your personal social media outlets and ask your family and friends to please share.

Covid Safety Tips during Spa Parties

As everything slowly starts to reopen and friends and family are gathering, it is important to take safety measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.  Here are some tips to keep your guests and staff safe during Spa Parties:

1 – Wear a facemask during the entire party.  Use a new set of disposable gloves with each person that is serviced.  Also, make sure your staff does the same.  Limit helpers to only one per party.

2 – Encourage guests to wear facemasks.  You may want to include them as gifts or giveaways at the party.

3 – Limit guests to no more than five girls.  Talk to the host about the possibility of having the parents drop off their kids at the party and then picking them up when the party is over to limit the amount of people gathered.

4 – Do not attend the party if you or your helper is feeling sick or are experiencing symptoms.  Encourage the host to do the same with their guests.  Have a backup plan, a person that can take over in case you cannot work the party.  I highly recommend using a non-contact thermometer to measure the temperature of each guest.

5 – Encourage social distancing during the party.  Make sure to set up the stations at least six feet apart.  If possible, set up all activities outdoors.

6 – Clean and wipe down all surfaces during the party and in between each use.  Thoroughly disinfect all items at the end of the party and dispose of all garbage properly.
